This seems to be the week for getting everyone gussied up! I couldn’t groom the equines without spending a little time on Ginger, now could I?
I happened to be out in the pasture cleaning up manure. The dogs were with me, but Forrest was off visiting with Ginger.
Ginger spends most of the day out in the pasture. She seems to prefer the company of the horses more than that of her sheepy friend.
And she especially loves the company of Forrest. Who doesn’t? He’s one very personable chap who loves all of his friends.
I took the opportunity to give Ginger her favorite belly rub – which has one predictable side effect… she plops down on her side to expose more of her belly. After rubbing her for a time, I grabbed the hoof trimmers and trimmed her nails.
Forrest enjoyed cleaning up all of the little trimmings.
He even thought about chewing on her hoof to help me with the trimming,
but I suggested that perhaps that wasn’t a good idea. Ginger didn’t seem to care either way – she was in a belly rubbing trance!
This is the face of a very happy pig!
