The World Ag Expo is big. There’s no other way to say it. With more than 1,200 exhibitors, 100,000 attendees, and 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space, the world’s largest farm show is simply immense.
That’s one of the many reasons FGS is proud to announce a new tradition: the World Ag Expo tailgate lunch. Co-hosted by Fruit Growers Supply and Bowsmith, the event will run from 11 am to 2 pm on Wednesday, February 12th, in the RV parking lot. During a week filled with cutting-edge technology, ag equipment, and thousands of industry professionals, this lunch will give attendees the opportunity to focus on something a little more personal: the relationships between customers and clients.
“Lunches like these help get all the growers together,” says Irrigation Sales Manager Sam Baldivia. “They offer an opportunity for one-on-one time. It’s also a way for us, as a company, to say a big ‘thank you’ to those who’ve supported us.”
Baldivia will be in attendance, along with fellow FGS executives like Jovina Lucas and Matt Shekoyan. They’re not just showing up for the taco truck — they’re showing up for the growers and vendors who’ve supported FGS over the decades, too. When it comes to that type of support, few companies have been more supportive than the event’s co-sponsor, Bowsmith.
“We’ve been working with Bowsmith, side-by-side, for several years now,” Baldivia explains. “They’ve been one of our go-to reps, and we’ve been one of their go-to vendors. Typically, 75 or 80 percent of citrus growers throughout the industry will use Bowsmith’s Fan-Jets. Bowsmith could partner with anybody for this event, so we’re lucky they chose us.”
Meanwhile, Bowsmith is offering a 30% discount on Fan-Jet microsprinklers. The promotion runs until March 15th, which is perfect timing for growers looking to improve their irrigation systems as spring approaches.
