In agriculture, innovation is one of the best ways to adapt to a world that’s constantly changing. Without it, our growers can’t grow.

That’s why the Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge is back for its twelfth year. The nationwide competition encourages new breakthroughs in agricultural innovation by offering as much as $100,000 in startup funds to entrepreneurs who present innovative ideas addressing the challenges of American farmers, ranchers, growers, and rural communities. More than $1.6 million has been invested into various agricultural businesses since the Ag Innovation Challenge began.

Previous winners include SwineTech, whose technology helps provide pigs and other food production animals with highly individualized care, and Grain Weevil Corporation, whose flagship invention — a grain management robot — eliminates the need for farmers to enter a potentially dangerous grain bin. Applications are currently being accepted for the 2026 competition, and applicants must be members of a local Farm Bureau in order to qualify as semi-finalists. To learn more about the challenge before the June 9 deadline, visit the competition’s website here.

Here at Fruit Growers Supply, we’re big fans of innovation as well. That’s why we carry the latest products in our supply centers and utilize new technologies in all the services we offer, from irrigation design to corrugated packaging.
